Laboratory Du-Var was founded in 1947 by Mr. Cyrille Corbeil, a Canadian cosmetic formulator. After his retirement, he published in 1991 a compendium of natural substances in cosmetic preparations:
 Nature in cosmetics and skin care.

In 1987 Mr. Pierre J. Trudeau took over the management of Laboratory Du-Var and is still at this day, at the head of the company. Through his vision and leadership, Laboratory Du-Var became a pharmaceutical manufacturer and is now entering the American market.
